Modification to 'Other Information'
[edit]It would be more accurate to describe the combination of a turbocharger and supercharger used in this car as 'twin charging', rather than 'compound charging'. Compound charging refers to the use of two compressors in series, with the output of the first being further compressed by the second. It is used to obtain 'boost' pressures higher than typically or practically obtainable with a single compressor.
Twin charging typically uses the supercharger to perform the compression role from idle to the engine speed where the turbo is able to operate, or until the turbo is able produce the desired output. Zoolio (talk) 00:42, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
The official horsepower of the engine, was announced by Lancia was 450PS. Unofficial there were speculations for over 500PS. Also it is thought that the car's acceleration ability was 0-100km/h in 2.3sec on dry tarmac not gravel. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.205.244.132 (talk) 11:44, 1 December 2009 (UTC)
Final paragraph misleading
[edit]I would suggest altering the final paragraph of this article. It concludes with "Simply using a racing fuel cell in place of the fuel tank could have saved them.[citation needed]". Having followed the Group B era, I do not recall any credible source stating that the fuel tank rupture was determined to be the cause of the deaths of Toivonen and Cresto. As I recall, the car landed upside down after falling a significant distance. The investigation seemed to point to the crash as the cause of death, not the ensuing fire. [edit]I'm not sure CarThrottle could count as a credible source of information. It is literally a social media platform. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ramthecowy (talk • contribs) 11:44, 30 September 2016 (UTC)
