POV
[edit]Removed the sentence "The plateau remains one of the world's most special sanctuaries." as POV. Rojomoke 14:53, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
Proposed addition
[edit]I have been thinking about adding the following paragraph to the "Bushwalking" section of this page.
"Both of the guest houses offer guided walks to their guests and several eco-tourism businesses also conduct guided walks within the park."
I am concerned that this statement may be too commercial for Wikipedia. However the possibility of a slight degree of commercialism seems to already exist, as both of the guest houses are already mentioned by name in the "History" section of this page, which I feel they should be given their role in the history of the park, particularly in the case of O'Reilly's which became very popular when news of Bernard O'Reilly's heroics was printed in the newspapers of the day. In addition to this, I gain the impression that one of the aims of this section (perhaps the aim?) is to promote the enjoyment of nature. This aim is shared by the guest houses and eco-tourism businesses, who provide a means to facilitate and fullfill such enjoyment, particularly for less intrepid people. Mentioning these options would further this section's role in promoting the enjoyment of the natural environment and wildlife of the area.
I would welcome any comments from other people regarding this proposal. 124.171.211.239 (talk) 16:51, 17 November 2012 (UTC)
- I don't have a problem with a brief mention of both guided walks if a reference is provided to support the statements and if they have been ongoing for a number of years. The main reason it should be acceptable is because national parks are within the visitor attraction categories. - Shiftchange (talk) 23:10, 17 November 2012 (UTC)
