Lakewood as top High School in Colorado
[edit]I added the fact that Lakewood High School's ACT scores are much lower that many other High Schools in the state making it invalid that Lakewood High School is the best High School in Colorado. References included. 22:34, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
- This is from Newsweek, which considers these factors, in addition to other factors. ACT is not the be-all and end-all, as there is also the SAT, and IB exams.--digital_me(Talk•Contribs) 22:50, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
Mascot
[edit]Can we come to a consensus as to whether the mascot is "Growlie the Tiger" or just "Tiger"? It keeps getting changed and then changed back. Is there any official school release or posting that says one way or another? Chuck Norris' IQ can be expressed simply as a sideways eight. 20:15, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
- I've listed it as "Growlie the Tiger," because that's what is on the back of the jersey worn by the mascot. I also added a {{fact}} template, because I have no way to back this up, at least until I get a picture. If anyone wants to change this, please discuss it on the talk page first so that this doesn't become an edit war.--digital_me 22:28, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
- Way to take the fun out of a pointless edit war over a trivial fact. Seriously though, any idea where we could come upon a fair-use or Public Domain pic of the mascot? I suppose we could just take one ourselves...Chuck Norris' IQ can be expressed simply as a sideways eight. 18:17, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
history
[edit]There is no "history" in history. just random stuff. I am removing it.
Tone
[edit]I removed some of the biased tone in the sports section. Is there a good way to express a team's success in a season without sounding biased? Is the best way to simply state the win-loss record?Nickeyrc (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 15:51, 30 November 2009 (UTC).
