Someone should change the fact that Lakeside Boy's Swimming has six in a row with the sixth one being won by one point, not the fifth. Also, girls have won 13 in a row i believe... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.33.168.112 (talk) 19:51, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
Someone needs to note that actress Sean Young ("Young Doctors in Love", "Blade Runner", "Stripes") attended Lakeside from 1973-1975. She was in the band and her photo is in the 1975 edition of the Valhalla.
Lake?
[edit]What is the actual "lake" that Lakeside is named after? I see 4 nearby lakes on Google Earth - Simmons Lake, Echo Lake, Lake Doreen, and Lake La Lera. Maybe someone could include a picture of the lake and explain it's significance?
I've always thought it was Echo Lake, since that is the closest to the school. -Faust I think it's Echo Lake too. (I should know this, I currently attend the school...) AppleScripter (talk) 01:44, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
It's name is taken from Simmon's Lake, which was at one time a "twin" lake of Echo Lake (hince the name of the subdivision nearby called "Twin Lakes".) At one time both lakes were the headwaters of the North Fork of Peachtree Creek. In 1969, the Army Corp of Engineers broke open the dam holding the waters and they flowed out into a new reservior created across the street from Echo Lake on Briarcliff Road.
Rivarly?
[edit]Why does Lakeside have a rivalry with Tucker?
- It is a neighboring school so many of the students grew up in close proximetyAkubhai 19:16, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
- Lakeside's football team really stinks and needs some work. It is currently the worst in its division.(Truth) 16:21, 22 November 2008 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.219.76.118 (talk)
