Octagon barns

[edit]

I'll look into the Octagonal Barns. I know of two that are still standing. Loopygrumpkins (talk) 05:55, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There is only one. The Clausing Barn, named for its builder. It's still a functioning barn. Flickr: [1] (note the map in the upper right of the page.) The one that the anon user mentioned as being turned into a church was never a barn. It was constructed back in the late '80's for use as that church. See: [2] It is only a short ways north of the site of the most recently defunct octagon barn. It perished in a fire several years back, taking with it a collection of antique cars. There was another on the south side of the Highland road bridge over I43, on the east side of the freeway. I think it fell down around 1970. Its foundation remained for many years. One more was moved to Old World Wisconsin, and functions as the Clausing Barn Restaurant. I think there were three or four others, but I can't remember where they were. -Freekee (talk) 01:32, 20 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
