Formation
[edit]The article states that Tuz is tectonic. However, the view from space appears to be consistent with formation by meteorite impact. David spector (talk) 15:56, 18 September 2009 (UTC)
Salt Origin
[edit]Why does this lake contain so much salt when most Turkish lakes have normal salt levels or are high in other minerals, such as calcium carbonate? Either there is a very high halite content in the underlying rock, which seems unlikely, or the lake contains the remnant of an ancient ocean, which seems almost as unlikely, or the lake contains salt because the meteorite had a high salt content, which also seems unlikely. Has anyone done research on this that can be included in this article? David spector (talk) 16:01, 18 September 2009 (UTC)
Lake Tuz, the "turkey" in the middle of "Turkey"
[edit]I've added information and images of Lake Tuz insofar as it looks like a "turkey" and is macroscopically visible in the middle of Turkey, which is obviously culturally significant. This involves both this article and the Turkey article. I think it's a great addition! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wykypydya (talk • contribs) 06:26, 13 August 2010 (UTC)
