If you all havent guessed 64.107.141.20 is the ip of Lake Forest Hich School. If it were possibly to permenentally block edits from this ip (or until teenagers become mature), but still allow logged in users, it would be great and problably save you all a bit of trouble. Just look at 64.107.141.20's contribs.

Contradiction

[edit]

From this article:

The 1980 film Ordinary People is set at Lake Forest High School, and parts of the film were shot at LFHS, altough the swim team scenes were filmed at Lake Forest College.

From Ordinary People

However, all of the pool scenes were filmed on location at Libertyville High School, which was believed to have superior aquatic facilities.

We need an authoritative source on this one. Daniel Case 07:00, 12 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

As a student of Lake Forest High School, an acquaintance and 3 year swimmer on the swim team here can verify 100% that said scenes were in fact shot at the Lake Forest College, and on a side note, he also mentions the reason for not using LFHS's facilities was due to the lack of sufficient space at LFHS's pool. He has swam at both LFC and Libertyville, and a multitude of other local college and high school facilities. In addition to his word, Libertyville is not listed on Filming Locations of Ordinary People (1980) The PKPerson 03:24, 23 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm resolving this by changing the pool filming locations to Lake Forest College pool. If anyone contests, I'll walk out of my hose, down 3 blocks to LFC and take a picture of the pool. Plus, IMO, it sounds like some student from Libertyville wrote that. The PKPerson 04:43, 24 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

IP adresses for LFHS (Just for reference)

[edit]

70.91.248.249, and 64.107.141.20 are the two IP adresses that LFHS uses. Cheers. --BLuToRsE 21:00, 26 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Merret

[edit]

I've removed some person named "Jason Merret" from the notable alumni list: That person has no Wikipedia article, the sources given do not seem to qualify the person for WP:BIO, and the person does not appear to be a significant factor in the history of Lake Forest High School itself. Per WP:NOTDIR, Wikipedia is not a directory; we don't just list anyone who is moderately successful. He apparent won some school tournament, and then by the time he was last re-added he had become some associate professor at the University of Illinois. The person were added by an anonymous IP at Gulfstream Aerospace. When removed it was first re-added by User:Clarkzero (now blocked), then when removed again it was re-added by a Gulfstream IP again with the reason "Jason is an alumni and there is no reason to remove him". I'm removing the person again: The person has 4 source references, but the highest claim was that he was a 2017 AIAA Associate Fellow, of which there were 140 just for 2017, and isn't even significant to be on his faculty bio page at the U of I. The person should not be re-added unless they become notable by Wikipedia standards. --Closeapple (talk) 05:51, 22 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

David Pasquesi

[edit]

I added David Pasquesi to the notable alumni list. He has performed on several notable stages and screens, and is widely considered one of the best long-form improv comics along with his long-time performance partner TJ Jagadowski. Emilyp99 (talk) 03:23, 10 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
