There’s an apparent content error that needs to be investigated.

[edit]

I’m reasonably certain Mr. Leake was born in Winona, Mississippi and not Winona, Missouri as the Wikipedia entry states . Winona Mississippi is in the Delta region of that state, the birthplace of so many Chicago bluesmen. While I found no other source material to suggest Mr. Leake was born in Missouri., there are a few sources that list his birthplace as Winona, Mississippi. This apparent content error may need a correction. Thank you. Steve Sanders 2601:246:C900:553:0:0:0:100F (talk) 16:12, 12 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I think you're correct. It looks like most of the sources that reference him being born in Missouri come from internet sites, while most books/publications list it as Winona, Mississippi. I'm going to update the article as such. Dofftoubab (talk) 21:25, 10 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
