External links modified
[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just modified one external link on Lafayette Bridge. Please take a moment to review my edit. If you have any questions, or need the bot to ignore the links, or the page altogether, please visit this simple FaQ for additional information. I made the following changes:
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/web/20100830145454/http://www.dot.state.mn.us/metro/projects/hwy52-stpaul/index.html to http://www.dot.state.mn.us/metro/projects/hwy52-stpaul/index.html
When you have finished reviewing my changes, you may follow the instructions on the template below to fix any issues with the URLs.

Replacement bridge is finished
[edit]It took five years and I think they did it in pieces, but it looks like the bridge was replaced.

I don't know enough of the details to make the necessary edits myself. There's a lot of text written after the I-35W bridge collapse and before reconstruction that is out of date. I believe it's a new bridge now. DavidRF (talk) 17:54, 18 March 2019 (UTC)
- I agree, and take this bridge to work nearly daily (it's long been complete). I came to find a history of the construction, which isn't provided due to the present-tense language. In addition, it overshot the original timeline greatly. I found some helpful information on the wayback machine if that's helpful:
- Oldest project page for the bridge they have, which states it did start in Jan 2011. It also was originally targeting 2011-2012 for northbound, then 2013-2014 for southbound: https://web.archive.org/web/20110518040829/http://www.dot.state.mn.us/lafayettebridge
- 2016-03-10 is the last archived project page listing it as "current": https://web.archive.org/web/20160310170736/http://www.dot.state.mn.us:80/lafayettebridge/
- 2016-04-10 is the first archived project page listing it as "complete": https://web.archive.org/web/20160413024342/http://www.dot.state.mn.us/lafayettebridge/
- If useful, there is a more detailed list of updates here that could be scanned through in time: https://web.archive.org/web/20110927053931/http://www.dot.state.mn.us/lafayettebridge/projectupdate.html
- I agree that the current language/flow is not great.
