Further work on Lady Elizabeth
[edit]Hi Lukeduk1980. Happy to assist if I can - but my last edits to this page were five months ago.Nickm57 (talk) 06:08, 27 May 2010 (UTC)
OK - so you have asked me back to this page I assume re the claim "the ship was registered in Great Britain but the ship owners company was based out of Australia". Im no expert on Lady Elizabeth but where is the evidence for that? http://www.boatregister.net/LadyElizabeth_files/LadyEliz_Report_Yalouris+Feyling.pdf very clearly states John Wilson was a London ship owner, and the ship was registered in London then the Isle of Man. Or do you have other info?Nickm57 (talk) 23:52, 27 May 2010 (UTC)
If you are referring tot he PDF article of the Lady Elizabeth, there were many errors in that article. The articles I have found were through the Australian Newspapers dating back to around the time Oliver & Wilson declared bankruptcy. It was in their papers back then. If you need a link to confirm this, I can show you. Lukeduk1980 (talk) 20:02, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
- Good idea. Delete the pdf article which has errors and add the sources which show Lady Elizabeth was an Australian owned ship.Nickm57 (talk) 00:53, 5 June 2010 (UTC)
- Hi Lukeduk1980. I see you are back again. When are you going to correct the the errors and add the sources which show the ship was Australian owned?Nickm57 (talk) 09:21, 25 July 2010 (UTC)
Hello Nick57- Haven't had a chance since I have had some serious issues with my laptop containing my research. I do have the information backed up at the moment but just need to go over my sources, I will be in touch. Lukeduk1980 (talk) 17:55, 11 October 2010 (UTC)
