Origin of Name
[edit]I came to this site today (Feb 3, 2012) when it appeared in the Wikipedia English "Did You know" section. Charles P. Baldwin is most definitely not a "lady". I was disappointed to discover that wikipedia and baseball-reference do not have any comment on how he collected this moniker.
I found http://www.motownsports.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-34668.html online, but a single comment isn't even at the level of hearsay.
