What is this article about?
[edit]The opening sentence of this article says that lactation failure = low milk supply, but its footnotes say that low milk supply is one cause of lactation failure. These sources seem to use the term "lactation failure" in the broad sense of a mother not meeting her own breastfeeding goals due to some problem. One cause of low milk supply is primary lactation failure, which occurs in less than 5% of mothers. I propose moving this article to Low milk supply and having it discuss the many causes of low milk supply, including primary lactation failure. The Treatment section, which currently places undue emphasis on galactagogues, should be rewritten with information more like what's in the Practice Guidelines from the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine (http://online.liebertpub.com/doi/full/10.1089/bfm.2011.9998). Also note that low milk supply and failure of the milk-let down reflex are different issues, but the article entirely conflates them. Clayoquot (talk | contribs) 07:00, 14 November 2017 (UTC)
Actually we should have this page be a disambiguation page[1] and create a new article on low milk supply. I'll work on this. Clayoquot (talk | contribs) 21:49, 17 November 2017 (UTC)
