Ireland and Labour Day

The map seems to suggest that 1st May is a public holiday in Ireland (which is not directly a Labout Day, per se, but seemingly something analogous). This is not true. The first Monday of May is a public holiday, but this is only occasionaly the actual 1st day of May.

This also applies to the UK where the May bank holiday is usually on the first Monday of May and has, AFAIK, nothing at all to do with workers and labouring. Hence - yes there is a public holiday which isn't "Labour day", but it isn't usually ON May 1, just nearby. -- SGBailey (talk) 12:19, 2 September 2019 (UTC)
