In response to a proposed deletion: I object to the deletion because the subject of this article is one part of a collection of murals around the US which was the artistic component of the Chicano Movement, one of the most significant parts of Chicano history in the United States. This article focuses on efforts to destroy and deny such a heritage, and is an allegory for other such murals. I intend to cite more sources showing the relevancy of this mural and to show how integrated this mural is in the history of Chicanos in the United States, and I request more time to do so. Added further commentary as to its significance beyond UH. The Texas State Historical Association mentions the significance of this movement and even mentions at least one other university mural as historically significant. Hectorchavanajr (talk) 00:49, 4 April 2014 (UTC)
