Pollard notability
[edit](moved from my userpage, in response to something on blocked user LCHSadmin's userpage, moving here because it is about the school) tedder (talk) 23:54, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
Not Notable
Under Creative Professionals on the "Wikipedia:Notability (people)" page, it lists four qualifications that Francis Pollara should meet. His cited source states that he won a college Emmy Award for a commercial, not a feature-length film (which is part of the criteria). A College Emmy Award for a commercial does not provide Pollara with enough credibility. However, if under wikipedia's standards he does, it should state that he won a College Emmy Award. La Canada High School is a high ranked High School in California as well at the United States and we want to keep our Wikipedia page factual and for it to no be misleading. We do not want alumni finding any reason to add themselves to the notable alumni section. We would like to give our notable alumni the recognition they rightfully earned. — Preceding unsigned comment added by LCHSadmin (talk • contribs) 23:07, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
- This should stay on your page, but I guess I'll keep it here. First, the school doesn't own the Wikipedia article. More importantly, challenges to notability of an individual (such as Pollara) should be done by requesting the Pollara article be deleted with a proper rationale. The article exists, and as such is eligible to be listed on La Canada High School's page. tedder (talk) 23:52, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
Diversity training incident
[edit]In my mind, This incident is worthy of inclusion on the article. It's an event that occurred, no different than if the school was the target of vandalism or arson, or if the school had notable athletic accomplishments. It's a short entry (a long sentence, really), so it's hard to say that it is undue. Finally, care has been taken to avoid BLP:1E type issues. Comments? tedder (talk) 01:17, 13 December 2011 (UTC)
Citations Needed
[edit]Basically everything on this page is uncited. We should look at finding citations or removing the page. Apriestofgix (talk) 22:23, 24 March 2016 (UTC)
