[edit]Editorial Changes to address the LUARM Audit Engine article's proposed deletion:
I oppose the proposed deletion of the article for the following reasons:
- The article does not constitute original Research. It is about a utility that can be used by both researchers and IT practitioners of the information security and system administration field. The tool is completely implemented in Open Source, with no copyright issues attached to it. For example, EMBOSS is a good example of a Wikipedia page with a similar thematic orientation: It does not constitute original research, but combines tools of existing (published) techniques of the bioinformatics community to solve a range of problems.
- Audit Log Engines and Insider Misuse are topics of general information security interest. The article contains cross-references to interesting concepts that can be cross-referenced and justifies its weight as a reference to a tool that addresses these issues.
-The added references contain useful information about the tool and the topic of insider misuse specification and computer forensics.
I have revised the link and the text accordingly, in order to reflect these issues in a more clear manner.
