Please note that I have numbered Lord Faringdon in this entry with her British Railways number of 60034. As with the Dwight D. Eisenhower page, I am not convinced at the cross-the-board use of the Gresley numbering system for these pages as locomotives like the 'Ike' and Lord Faringdon did not have their second name when running with the Gresley number.

I will be adding more details of the routes and performances of Lord Faringdon and Seagull to their pages and hope to flesh out the important 1948 Exchange Trials here to allow the railway student to fully understand their vital place in history. Steel city ady (talk) 06:04, 3 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
