I want to discuss the photographs used in this article.

What does everyone think? Tony May (talk) 06:50, 28 May 2019 (UTC) [reply]

Take it elsewhere, chaps Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 12:27, 30 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
The following discussion has been closed. Please do not modify it.
With respect Tony, may I suggest you start taking and uploading your own photographs to Commons, and categorise them, rather than continually criticising everyone else's work. — O Still Small Voice of Clam 06:33, 29 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Voice of Clam - that unfortunately is not a productive comment, but given your history, it's not unexpected. You might want to have a look at Wikipedia:Introduction - especially the bit where it says "if you don't want your work critiqued and mercilessly edited by others, don't contribute." Do you have anything relevant to add to this discussion? Tony May (talk) 11:38, 29 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Criticism is one thing, abuse is another. I am no longer willing to tolerate it. — O Still Small Voice of Clam 18:10, 29 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
So don't tolerate it then. If you don't want your photographs critiqued by someone who knows what "composition" and "exposure" mean, don't upload photos to Wikipedia. Right, back on track... has anyone got any sensible suggestions?
Btw, you really ought to learn about how Wikipedia works - there is nothing to require me to upload my own photographs to Commons. In fact, I would argue not doing so avoids my being vain towards photos I have taken. We need the most illustrative photos, regardless of source. Tony May (talk) 03:18, 30 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I'm calling WP:5P4 on that "you really ought to learn about how Wikipedia works" remark and several earlier comments. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 10:28, 30 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the WP:OFFTOPIC feedback redrose64, but to reiterate my point, let's please stay WP:ONTOPIC here. What shall we do? Tony May (talk) 12:01, 30 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think there's much difference between the two photographs, but to me the one on the right looks duller and doesn't stand out as well, so I'd go with the one on the left. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 12:27, 30 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Photographs

[edit]

Back in August there was a railtour run to Blaenau Ffestiniog called "The Conwy Quest". On this tour 45690 Leander was one of the two engines chosen. I propose some of the following images to be used in the article.

These images could be used to show when the Jubilee took part in the re-opening special for the Conwy Valley line. (User talk:2A00:23C5:FC81:3E00:5516:42B7:C392:63F2) 17:30, 27 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Loco now returned to service

[edit]

Loco has returned to service again as of February 2023, can't find a source that would be deemed good enough for wiki though Cardean905 (talk) 08:43, 2 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
