Title and function
[edit]As I just commented elsewhere, I think the title of this article is suboptimal. The abbreviation "LGBT" is essentially adjectival, so there is a grammatical problem with the "LGBT in..." form. Perhaps I should address that question more centrally, but I'd also like to say that I'm not clear on the function of this article specifically. Its content seems to be mostly about LGBT rights, but we have another article called LGBT rights in Mexico. The content here at this article that does not concern rights seems to be almost exclusively about gay and lesbian people—there are three fleeting mentions of bisexuality and one almost incidental mention of transgender people—but we have another article called Homosexuality in Mexico that covers much of the same ground, in somewhat more detail. I'm not making any proposal at this time, but I'd be curious to see what others think. Pinging Kraft., who created this article. Also leaving a note at WT:WikiProject LGBT studies. - I am commenting at the LGBT board because this is a common format for many articles. This is bigger than any one country. Blue Rasberry (talk) 14:37, 22 March 2018 (UTC)
- You can change the title to reflect a more accurate portrayal of the content. It was standard practice at the time to use the adjective in the title. Maybe LGBT life in Mexico could be used instead? Could that other article and this one be merged? I barely remember creating this one, it wasn't this long last time I checked. Kraft.
