Abrams tanks
[edit]The attached article on the LCM-1E not being able to carry the Australian Abrams is rubbish, The tanks are not too heavy, it is a certification issue as the LHD's and the LCM have not reached FOC yet, this is a normal process and as certification continues, fuller capabilities will be realised. The Australian Abrams is on par weight wise with the Leopard 2's that Spain operate from the exact same craft with no problems at all, see references:

Costs not mentioned
[edit]In the current fire crisis in Australia these ships should be used to evacuate people, but they are a no-show. We have four of these things - so how much money have we spent for something that does not help in an emergency? We need to know how much they cost, generally. In this current climate we need to confront the politicians for spending x-amount of Dollars for what? If there is a reasonable explanation, why not talk about it? 2001:8003:A02F:F400:3039:38D4:B235:3366 (talk) 23:31, 2 January 2020 (UTC)
