I created this page because it did not exist. When searching Wikipedia for "LALR parser generator" I was being directed to the commercial product, "LALR Parser Generator", which is only one of the many LALR parser generators available (about 30 or more are available). So it seems appropriate to have a page which defines the concept.
XPL
[edit]I changed the date for XPL from 1972 to 1968. The Orange Peril (A Compiler Generator) is copyright 1970. The paper announcing XPL was presented at the 1968 FJCC. Peter Flass (talk) 19:17, 6 October 2011 (UTC)
