Proposed merge with Dead Waves

- I found a few reviews of the album ([1], [2], [3], [4]) so there's scope for expansion, but I agree it could be covered within the band article. --Michig (talk) 19:34, 3 December 2013 (UTC)

- Support as per nom. 162 etc. (talk) 16:47, 6 February 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose per WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. 87 percent of pageviews are for the band, which is over 11 times more views than the second-most viewed topic (the river). Even taking the basename bump into account, the band article clearly has more views than all the other topics combined. The status quo is best for readers and editors alike. Dohn joe (talk) 17:55, 6 February 2023 (UTC)
- Support per above and WP:PTOPIC. Mast303 (talk) 03:39, 7 February 2023 (UTC)
- Support per nomination, Ortizesp, Jauerback, 162 etc. and Mast303. There are seven bulleted entries listed upon the KYTE (disambiguation) page, with the Leicestershire rock group's historical renown failing to overwhelm the combined notability of the remaining six entries. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 04:05, 7 February 2023 (UTC)

- Comment: I strongly doubt the importance of WP pageview statistics here. A Google search on 'Kyte' reveals exactly 0 results about the band on the first page. The first and almost only result about the band is, as expected, the Wikipedia article at 'Kyte'. This suggests that there is no PRIMARYTOPIC, 'Kyte' being an ambiguous term. - Support. I !voted in the MRV to relist, and I'll stand by that... but now, looking at it, there is no way that an ephemeral indie band outweighs an eight-hundred-year-old village or a 30-miles-long river. That is, support per long-term significance. Red Slash 19:12, 23 February 2023 (UTC)
- See, I think actually cuts against a significance argument. The hamlet and river have had hundreds of years to do something significant, yet both articles are essentially stubs that say "these things exist" - whereas the band at least is covered by multiple reliable sources with some amount of analysis. Dohn joe (talk) 20:27, 23 February 2023 (UTC)
- Fair point about the river, but like, the hamlet is in a country that doesn't speak English in the middle of nowhere; just because something hasn't been noted (in English) doesn't necessarily mean it's not noteworthy Red Slash 07:43, 24 February 2023 (UTC)

- Enough bytes wasted on a forced relist leading to the same result, in Gbooks no PT means no PT In ictu oculi (talk)
- Support. There's no primary topic, and the disambiguation page should not be at an upper case title. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 17:34, 24 February 2023 (UTC)
- Support - per nom and above. Estar8806 (talk) 03:53, 25 February 2023 (UTC)
- Suppoort. It doesn't seem like the band is the primary topic for long-term significance. As for usage, the pageviews by themselves mean very little. More relevant is the Wikinav data: more than 10% of the visits to Kyte have resulted in a click through to the dab page, which gives a very strong signal that most readers who search for "Kyte" are instead looking for some other topic with the name. As for the title of the dab page, it should be in lower case per WP:DABNAME. – Uanfala (talk) 17:13, 2 March 2023 (UTC)
