My edits
My edits were to remove dubious sources which do not even get the game's title correct, and I replaced them with real sources. I also removed "this was announced" "that was announced" information under development which is irrelevant to development and is all basic information on the game that is already at the top of the article. I have also requested a move as the title is wrong. R koiwai (talk) 18:04, 10 May 2020 (UTC)
- I am also trying to add more actual information to the article but cannot do so with people constantly reverting edits with dubious reasoning. R koiwai (talk) 18:08, 10 May 2020 (UTC)
To elaborate, the sources I removed were game blogs that mistranslate the title of the game, when the meaning of the title is obvious to anyone who understands Japanese. Mistranslated titles being widely used is not rare, given how such game blogs reuse content from each other. I edited the article accordingly in regards to the title, and replaced the inappropriate sources with official primary sources which are far more reliable, given how they are direct from the creators of the game. - I would like to point out that the source from Forbes' website removed was from Ollie Barder's blog on Forbes' site, not Forbes itself. For reference, here are his recent posts: "‘One-Punch Man’ Is Getting A Movie But Does Hollywood Really Get What It Means To Be A Hero Just For Fun?", "There Are Some Very Nice ‘Final Fantasy VII Remake’ Figures Releasing Later This Year". It is not a "business-centered news source" as some might claim. And in any case he was one of the people getting the title obviously wrong. R koiwai (talk) 18:46, 10 May 2020 (UTC)
There is some further discussion regarding my edits on User_talk:Muffin_of_the_English. As I stated there, I would like to say that I had originally intended on expanding the article significantly, but the constant questioning of all of my edits ignoring my posts on this talk page by people like TheImaCow and ZimZalaBim who refuse to contribute in any way to the article yet attack me by calling me a vandal (See the anti-vandalism barn star TheImaCow put on User_talk:Muffin_of_the_English's page immediately after attacking my edits) has left me very tired and I have no intention of contributing to this article any further. This place is disgusting. R koiwai (talk) 14:54, 11 May 2020 (UTC)
Title of the game
The commonly-used "City Shrouded in Shadow" English title spread by game blogs is mistranslated. The title "Kyoei Toshi" means "City of Giant Shadows". "Kyoei" meaning "giant shadows" is what the monsters are called in the game. Furthermore, the word "kyoei" is written in English in-game as "Kyoei": See https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DMe9a1mVoAAIcrc.jpg , meaning that Kyoei should not even be translated, making it "City of Kyoei".
