About the photo
[edit]Kyes peak summit - The image from Blanca does not actually show the summit of Kyes - what you can see on the right is a false summit about 200 feet below the true one, which is not visible from the lake.
Oct. 29, 2008 I have been working on the sites for Monte Cristo, Monte Cristo Peak, Columbia Peak and Kyes Peak. I hope the new information is helpful. --markhab (talk) 20:50, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
Monte Cristo Peak benchmark
[edit]Strangely the coordinates given on the the Monte Cristo Peak benchmark are for Kyes Peak. Even the benchmark symbol on the topographic map does not match the coordinates. NGS is usually better than this. I.m confident that the coordinates are good for Keyes. –droll [chat] 02:07, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
- After thinking it over, it seems to me, that since the NGS datasheet MONTE CRISTO PEAK is inaccurate about the name of the feature, it would be better not to use the data. –droll [chat] 19:48, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
