Not a real person?

[edit]

I found a forum thread that suggests this is a fictional character or a pseudonym used by someone. It's not a reliable source, but here's the link. https://www.thedaobums.com/topic/8102-master-kwan-sai-hung/

"Kwan Sai Hung does not exist, it is only a fictional character from a novel written by Deng Mingdao, a book which has close to nothing of actual historical value. The person who goes by that name is an american of (mixed) chinese descent named Frank Kai, born and raised in the US."

Okay, so you changed this Wikipedia page, based soley upon a conversation you read in an online forum group? You obviously didn't read all three pages of that discussion, because other commentators have met the Honorable Grandmaster, as have I. Regardless, the Wikipedia citation rules remain, only legitimate published sources are recognized (not anonymous internet speculations). Although, Kwan would probably prefer invisibility, as he eschews public attention, seeking neither publicity nor monetary gain. Those who presume to debate or dispute a Grandmaster's very existence, without having met him, are they themselves status leeches and "rice fairies." Revert this page back to the truth, or else I will do it for you. 2603:7000:D00:412B:69DF:996B:9D90:977E (talk) 23:47, 19 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
He certainly is not fictional. I studied with him for ten years, and learned some of the finest martial arts in existence. In addition to his encyclopedic knowledge of the martial arts he is an exceptional teacher, and he changed the course of my life. 146.115.186.153 (talk) 23:50, 12 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
