WP:Japan Assessment Commentary
[edit]This article was worse than a stub. I removed all false and misleading information until I or another editor could fix it. The original text stated that Masahide was a figure of the 15th century Sengoku Period and then listed dates in the 1440s and 1450s. The Sengoku Period didn't begin until at least the start of the Onin War (1467) and some historians start the Sengoku after the war's end (1477). Furthermore, the original text stated that Masahide stole the Japanese Imperial Regalia (in 1443) and supported the Southern Court, even though the Nanboku-chō period lasted from 1336-1392.
