You had a very thorough introduction, biography, and career section. However, I believe you can combine the introduction and biography section together to make the article flow. I believe the career section is also important to your article. The section regarding Velarde's artwork was well written due to it being objective rather than subjective.
Regarding grammatical errors, make sure to focus on comma splices and spacing.
