No consensus to move. Vegaswikian (talk) 18:22, 7 September 2011 (UTC)
Kristina Mladenovic → Kristina Mladenović – 21:17, 31 August 2011 (UTC) I think we should move article to her native name Kristina Mladenović. The same situation is with other sportpersons who are competing for country where their origin is not (Jelena Dokić, Zlatan Ibrahimović, Nikola Karabatić, Bojan Krkić, Aleks Marić, Csaba Szilágyi...). Mladenović compete under the France flag, but she has a Serbian or Yugoslavian orgin. Her native full name is Kristina Mladenović and we usually use the native names.--Aca Srbin (talk) 14:00, 31 Augusy 2011 (CEST)
- Oppose. This name given without diacritics by Malaysia Star, Reuters, The Telegraph, and BBC. Kauffner (talk) 01:45, 1 September 2011 (UTC)
- Oppose: The Roland Garros and ESPN sites also use the non-diacritic version. At first glance, no reliable source uses crits. Absconded Northerner (talk) 09:41, 1 September 2011 (UTC)
- Comment, Reliable sources in English never used a diacritice, but for articles we still using native names (Nemanja Vidić: Goal.com, Jelena Janković: WTA,Ana Ivanović: WTA...). I cited examples and for sportpersons who are competing for country where their origin is not.--Aca Srbin (talk) 11:55, 1 September 2011 (CEST)
- This is incorrect. The ATP and ITF sites do sometimes use diacritics for place names... just not for most player names. Fyunck(click) (talk) 05:20, 7 September 2011 (UTC)
- Oppose - spelling rules of the country she represents in sports should take precedent over whatever the spelling is used by her parents in their native language. Vidić, Janković and Ivanović all represent Serbia internationally. Guys like Ibrahimović and Krkić are really rare exceptions (and in their cases the spelling with diacritics is evidently in use by reliable sources printed in their sporting nation's language, unlike here). Timbouctou (talk) 21:15, 1 September 2011 (UTC)
- Oppose - difficult again I am afraid, French-born and representing France too. When this happens, names get chewed away over time. The English word queen in Old English was spelt cwen and then the Normans corrupted it with their Romanic tongue and direct writing origin from Etruscan! The same is destined here. Evlekis (Евлекис) (argue) 22:36, 1 September 2011 (UTC)
- Support - Per Encyclopedia, Ibrahimović, Krkić. Just that she does not have her family name printed on the back of her sporting clothes that does not mean her name is not Mladenović. Playing for one particular country does not change your NAME! (Gabinho>:) 03:22, 7 September 2011 (UTC))
- Oppose - The WTA, ITF, and all other tennis organizations spell it in standard English without diacritics. Fyunck(click) (talk) 05:20, 7 September 2011 (UTC)

Importance level
Importance being high seems ridiculous. This player is a low category overall, remotely possible mid level because of a recent mixed doubles win at Wimbledon. But mot high. Fyunck(click) (talk) 23:27, 9 July 2013 (UTC)
- Now she has reached number 2 in doubles. Probably it is the time to improve her assessment. Propositum (talk) 23:04, 26 January 2017 (UTC)
- Mid importance is justified on the basis of her Grand Slam doubles results and ranking.--Wolbo (talk) 23:36, 26 January 2017 (UTC)

Losing streak
The sentence "Mladenovic is on a current 15-match losing streak." was added in this edit. I think it is probably more suitable to have this among the results from the relevant year - which is why I have added this (with some references) to the section about 2018. I guess that even if this remains in the intro at the moment, eventually the losing streak ends and after that it is better to have this information in the sections about her results in 2017 and 2018. --Kompik (talk) 10:24, 28 January 2018 (UTC)
