I'm a little annoyed that somebody placed a tag on this article calling for verification, without leaving a message on this talk page about what needs verification. I cannot see anything in the article that is not backed up by the references that I have provided. Consequently, I have deleted the tag. Feel free to restore it, but only if you leave a message here stating exactly what requires verification. Thank you –Spudtater (talkcontribs) 12:36, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Update: although I notice they've also removed a speedy delete tag. Thank you for that. Do I need to do anything further, or can I consider the speedy delete request withdrawn? –Spudtater (talkcontribs) 13:05, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Plot: I just needed to put this here. Not a review.

[edit]

This book is set in a fantasy land where sometimes people who have a different color in each eye, called Gracelings. Each graceling has a particular grace, such as cooking, sewing, fighting, or even speaking. They excel in that particular area, and are often feared and shunned by the rest of the country due to their possession of a Grace. (Except in the kingdom of Lienid.)

Katsa is a girl believed to have the grace of killing due to an incident where she unintentinally killed her cousin when he was threatening her at age eight. She works for her Uncle Randa, who is king of one of the seven kingdoms (Middluns), as an enforcer of his rule and a torturer. Katsa is an excellent fighter, and can work with any weapon. She loathes what she does, and starts rebelling in small ways. She founds 'the Council,' a organization that is devoted to helping the people. But it is not until the appearence of graced Prince Greenling, a.k.a Po (from Lienid), that she discovers she does not have to obey the power-hungry and thuggish King Randa. With his assistance, she finds a corrupt king, rescues his daughter, Princess Bitterblue, and finds that her grace is not kiling--it is survival. She finds love with Po, who has the Grace of sensing people and the world around him, making him an excellent sparring partner. She races to rescue Bitterblue and expose the cruel king without falling under his grace of persuasion. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.236.55.170 (talk) 01:43, 1 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
