The anti-NPOV vandalism of this article in recent days (from one IP range) is disturbing. Can we try to tone it down a bit? -- Vesta 06:20, 20 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Truth - Reality

The Truth is always disturbing, Reality bites.

If you want, you may ask a copy or copies of her shows from ABS-CBN and see the truth, see the reality.

Where the hell is the Joey Marquez Scandal?

Forgotten already, i presume. Sad.

ha ha ha

Slander is for voice , and Libel is for print.

Slander in the time of Wikipedia... great!

you don't know if her intention was to actually insult her guests, it may be because she is tactless, but not out of malicious intent

She should always take into consideration the cultural background of all her guests. Asking if her guest is circumcised knowing that circumcision is not practiced in his culture proves that her intention really is to insult the guest to the millions of viewers who has the same opinion as hers with regards to circumcision.

Cleanup

Why is this on cleanup? This article is much more in-depth than a LOT of people, especially Filipina celebrities. Mike H 19:14, Sep 7, 2004 (UTC)

Four letters why: NPOV.

The wording seems to be redone now, so I'm taking it off. From now on, an NPOV notice would suffice if it gets messed up again. Mike H 23:40, Oct 22, 2004 (UTC).

NPOV ? or just another kris aquino fanatic? ha ha ha ha.. please visit http://www.killkrisaquino.ph

Joshua

I've seen this article say that her son has autism and ADHD. Which one is it, people? A source would also be helpful. Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 05:19, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

That's irrelevant in the article if you'll ask me. John earlm 18:10, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

I heard he's retarted (of course there's a more politically correct term for his condition). I think Joshua's retardness is relevant here. Even Suri is at the Katie Holmes article. --Howard the Duck 06:52, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
If you insist, just make sure that inserting such info is encyclopedic and verifiable. John earlm 16:37, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

Lead pic

That pic with Kris holding a mic inches from her wide open mouth is perfect for... well, nevermind. Anybody with a better pic? GFDL/PD? --Howard the Duck 18:30, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

Hahaha. Please dont pic on the mic. I think the photo is fine. John earlm 17:59, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

scandalous?

Kristina Bernadette Cojuangco Aquino-Yap, (born February 14, 1970 in Quezon City) is a scandalous yet prominent television and movie personality in the Philippines.

Even though we know in the Philippines that Kris is always subject to controversies, I think using the word scandalous to describe her is too trivial. Moreover, in my understanding, being scandalous means creating scandals to gain media mileage, but I don't think the scandals are initiated by Kris herself. So i'll remove the word scandalous. John earlm 21:32, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

That's just some very happy vandal overdoing it... --Howard the Duck 06:55, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

She is "Not" Of Spanish descent

Since when did Kris Aquino acquire Spanish blood, Where's the evidence?? It's all POV. She is of Chinese descent. I don't see any Spanish in her what so ever. She is suffering from the IMSCF syndrome.

Miscarriage after Colon Cancer announcement

Kris announced the colon cancer of her mother yesterday. Today, she had a miscarriage. Please do not delete my contribution. That will be vandalism. - --Florentino floro (talk) 06:12, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

CLEANUP!!!

This article has so many issues! Please help me edit it to Wikipedia standards, especially with the tone and neutrality. Please don't add information without sources. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Vainglory88 (talkcontribs) 17:26, 25 January 2010 (UTC)

About the section on Despedida

This is an encyclopedia and should only reflect facts. It is not the general public calling for Kris Aquino to flee; it is her critics. I have therefore changed "general public" and "many people" to "critics." Besides, any thinking person can see that if Aquino was *that* disliked, then she would not be the country's top endorser. Also, the references provided clearly state that her critics, NOT the general public, are calling for her to leave the country.

Also, that part about Boy Abunda appealing for vindication for his talent doesn't sound quite right. A "vindication"? This is a misuse of the word. Abunda's statement called for giving Aquino "a break." That is not a vindication. I have changed the phrase that includes that word into "in support of Aquino" instead.

I hope the edits are fine.

I have lost my password, but I have no time to find it or fiddle with the response box. My username is doctorqui. Thank you.76.250.10.77 (talk) 08:21, 26 June 2010 (UTC)

Career section

This is not really complete. I remember that some time in 1992-3, Aquino sat with personalities Korina Sanchez and Ted Failon as part of the news program 'Hoy Gising.' Her segment was 'Balitang Krisis' or something to that effect. This part of her career is different from her show business / show business news work.

Her journalism on The Philippine Daily Inquirer is also not mentioned. The evolution of her morning show from 'Today With Kris Aquino' (which used to be an afternoon show pitted against personality Dina Bonnevie's 'ms.d!') to 'Morning Girls' to 'Morning Girls with Kris and Korina' to 'Kris and Tell' to 'Boy and Kris' is also unclear.

This is still doctorqui. Thanks.76.250.10.77 (talk) 08:28, 26 June 2010 (UTC)

File:KrisforOLAY.jpg Nominated for speedy Deletion

An image used in this article, File:KrisforOLAY.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Copyright violations
What should I do?

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Commons Undeletion Request

The Philippines' Queen of All Media

Um yeh sure, per this edit here, this 'honorific prefix' has been re-added without explanation, or source, despite being removed twice by at least one other editor beside myself. I have invited the editor here for discussion by edit summary. [1].

Pinging involved parties,

Ping @Hariboneagle927: who also has 'just' removed same 'honorific'- 220 of Borg 09:58, 31 July 2015 (UTC)
The Queen of All Media is not really an honorific and the user/s who added it might not be aware what an honorific is. Kris Aquino is not a monarch or nobility or any person with formal honorific prefix such as "Duchess", "Sir" etc. to have a honorific prefix. This can be mentioned in the "public image" section or similar with accompanying sources but not on the infobox. Fans of Kris Aquino should be informed that Wikipedia is a not a tool for promotion of Aquino, as well as the contrary.-Hariboneagle927 (talk) 10:11, 31 July 2015 (UTC)
@Hariboneagle927:Thanks for the removal of that silly 'honorific' title, and your quick reply here.
(I was posting to your talk, but noticed your reply here)
I have removed 'it' about 3 time now and Nymf twice, but IPs and Thisloveislike123 (talk · contribs) (AGF, but who may be the same person) keep returning it without summary or source. I have left the editor in question many 'advisory' templates, with personalised notes attached, which they appear to totally ignore.
• I have most recently warned them for edit warring over the 'title' and "Addition of unsourced or improperly cited material"[2]
• I also note that this page is subject to wp:Article probation, which may be another avenue to stop this silliness, and disruption. Regards, 220 of Borg 10:28, 31 July 2015 (UTC)
Note this similar title added to Toni Gonzaga BLP by the same editor. [3] 220 of Borg 11:11, 31 July 2015 (UTC)
To add, the other titles may just be a honarary nicknames given by ABS-CBN and other affiliates to Kris Aquino for promotional purposes. If sources are going to be retrieved there must be third party sources to support such.--Hariboneagle927 (talk) 04:03, 1 August 2015 (UTC)
I've also nominated the obviously copyrighted image of Kris Aquino used in the infobox. It is clearly a commissioned work for ABS-CBN for the promotion and marketing of Kris TV. The same editor uploaded it and admitted in the description that "it is a pictorial for Kris TV". The editor may have retrieved it here, and cropped it. I assume good faith that the editor is just inexperienced but he or she must be informed about the guidelines.--Hariboneagle927 (talk) 04:16, 1 August 2015 (UTC)
Yes, I did an image search myself, and saw that or similar pictures. I suspect that this is either a fan of Aquino, or somebody from a Marketing company/division of a company affiliated to her in some way. Both involve WP:COI and lack of WP:NPOV. They are on their last warning on Commons for uploading copyvios, see their Commons talkpage. 220 of Borg 10:16, 1 August 2015 (UTC)
Just removed the 'title' again, added by an IP, no surprise. That's about 8 times now, probably more. 220 of Borg 02:13, 9 August 2015 (UTC)
Make that ≈9! 220 of Borg 05:03, 8 November 2015 (UTC)

December 2015

Ping @Hariboneagle927: Look what happens when we turn out backs for 7 weeks? All her 'titles' are back and she has 2 infoboxes! diff, from my last edit. Now she is also 'de facto' First Lady of the Philippines. (But I now see you know that. It's actually true?) 220 of Borg 09:35, 30 December 2015 (UTC)
While, Kris Aquino being de-facto First Lady office, while unofficial is true "The Honorable" should go, while it is a Style or Honorific it is not an honorific prefix like "Sir". Removed (again) the redundant infobox and fan/ABS-CBN bestowed titles.
