[edit]Some of the features of the ML3000 C'C' were used in other locomotives, for example the MD655 engines and three axle bogies were used in the British Railways "Western" locomotives and the K184 transmissions were used in the V 200.1, RENFE ML3000 "Talgo" & ML4000 locomotives and British Railways D7000 ("Hymek") locomotives, while the overall concept gave Krauss-Maffei valuable experience to draw upon when they built the ML4000 locomotives for North America and Brazil.
