History

  • which were permitted used on roads -> which were permitted to be used on roads
  • MOS:TIME suggests time should be expressed in figures rather than words. So, seven o clock should be 7:00 pm
  • In 1904 they established a committee -> A committee was established in 1904
  • citydwellers not keen on this, I assume Oslo is the city you're referring to? So would change to inhabitants of Oslo
  • "recreational area of Nordmarka were" were should be where
  • especially the guest house at Sverdrupstuen was often entirely blocked on popular Sundays -> especially at the guest house in Sverdrupstuen, which was often blocked on Sundays
  • Unusual for winter sports... Unusual should be Unusually
  • The curves were then corrected by Cattani. would incorporate this into the previous sentence, doesn't flow well, with a sentence this short
  • The only fixed installations... no need for the plural on installations as you only describe one item
  • Luigi Angelini from Switzerland was hired to supervise the construction of the curves.[7] Construction cost NOK 615,000. merge sentences and would give reader some idea who Angelini was

Olympic track

  • The following is a list of the turns with their names[8] and curve radii.[14] refs should come after punctuation, so would move ref 8 to end of sentence
    • If you insist, but the reason for the split it to show what is referenced where. Merging the refs means readers will have to access both refs even if looking for only one piece of information. Arsenikk (talk) 20:50, 30 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Out of interest why do you have scopel=row in the coding for the table instead of scope=row?
  • Do you have a source for the layout of the Korketrekkeren map image?
    • Its based on an unnumbered page of the 1952 Olympic official report [page 47 in the PDF]. I've added the source to the image description; where you also wanting it in the caption? Arsenikk (talk) 20:50, 30 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Tobogganing

  • Korketrekkeren is a public hill owned by the municipality[12] and can be used free of charge. move ref to end of sentence
  • "The start of the hill is located next to Frognerseteren Station on the Oslo Metro's Holmenkollen Line. The end of the course is located at Midtstuen Station." merge these sentences

References

Ah, I see, I'm not familiar with either of those, hence the confusion. The main thing is your consistent with it, so that's not a problem. NapHit (talk) 23:13, 30 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Very interesting article, will put the article on hold and once these issues are addressed I will happily pass it. NapHit (talk) 22:01, 29 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the review. I get a lot of joy from writing articles about some of the more odd parts of our world. Arsenikk (talk) 20:50, 30 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Good stuff, issues have been fixed, happy that the article meets GA standard. NapHit (talk) 23:13, 30 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
