Hopefully you know that Korherr never belonged to the SS and so could never be chief inspector of the statistical bureau of the SS.

Using this as holocaust evidence seems to pivot on the use of "code words". In and of itself it seems meaningless. If you say a certain word means something else then you can get whatever you need out of it - but then with a code you don't need it in the first place.
The intrepretation given to the K Report seems to imply that someone was trying to deceive Hitler - is this ending up saying that proHolocausters believe Hitler didn't know about the Holocaust. Not what I thought we wanted to conclude. Making up a story about code words in the K Report seems to destroy other more vital stories. Please rewrite this - call in Nitzor/big guns? ( this is going to require some thought ). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 159.105.80.219 (talk • contribs)
Glad to see some editor has removed the part about Hitler not knowing about the Holocaust. However, the Korherr reort seems to match the Wannassee Protocol - reduce the number of Jews in Europe. Was this a progress report back to whoever was in charge of the Wannassee plan? or to a labor supply board? It is very short on homicidal evidence.159.105.80.63 16:01, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
The Simon Wiesenthal Center has a good article on Korherr. He worked for the SS - more as a consultant - but never was SS, etc. Of interest is that his collaborator was a Dr Simon - a Jew - on his reports ( ouch).159.105.80.141 (talk) 12:47, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
The article contains some incorrect information and faulty translations: Translation in article: "Since the seizure of power the number of Jews in Europe, which was over ten millions in 1933, has been halved; the decline of over four millions is due to German influence."
Original text: "Insgesamt duerfte das europaeische Judentum seit 1933, also im ersten Jahrzehnt der nationalsozialistischen deutschen Machtentfaltung, bald die Haelfte seines Bestandes verloren haben." (Source: Korrherr-report, p. 16: http://www.ns-archiv.de/verfolgung/korherr/faksimile-lang/korherr-lang-17.php)
Correct translation: "In total European Jewry will soon have lost since 1933, that is in the first decade of the National Socialist German exercise of power, half of its population."
The article claims that : "The report calculated that, from the time the Nazis came to power to the end of 1942, four million Jews had been eliminated from Europe, of which 1.5 million emigrated and 2,454,000 had been killed by the Einsatzgruppen or in extermination camps"
(Source: http://www.ns-archiv.de/verfolgung/korherr/faksimile-lang/korherr-lang-16.php)
Correct information: "The report calculated that, from 1937 to the beginning of 1943, the number of Jews in Europe had been fallen by 4 Million due to migration, high natural death rates in Western and Central Europe, and 'Evacuation' in Eastern Europe, where Jews were more numerous."
There is no mention in the document of Einsatzgruppen, extermination camps, or killing. The terms "Evakuierung", "Durchschleusung", "Sonderbehandlung", and "Transport" are used. --70.33.118.38 (talk) 18:06, 7 February 2009 (UTC)
The Weiner Library - London - has microfilms of the several versions of this document and lots of correspondence surrounding it. Dr Erich Simon, who the library states was his Jewish assistant, vouched for Korherr's good character in a 1948 letter, also at the library. I hope an accurate translation and surrounding documentation will finally show what this document really was - nothing supporting much of any political viewpoint.159.105.80.141 (talk) 13:20, 4 February 2010 (UTC)
RE:Dr Simon - is there any information on him other than the Weiner Library files? I can not find any statement he made after the war concerning this report - someone must have questioned him ( he was alive at least until 1948 ). His testimony as to the accuracy and sources used would help settle the population issue of that time period. The report mentions data back to 1880. The report shows/says that Jews had been leaving Europe for decades - and gives a relatively small remnant still in the Nazis potential grasps. The questions asked often is "thwen where are they" - the answer from Dr Simon appears to be "this is where they had already gone". Of course he may have faked the report or been under duress - someone surely must have asked him.159.105.80.141 (talk) 13:45, 4 February 2010 (UTC)
