Spelling
I do not like it that Ab207 keeps changing the spelling back to "sh". It is not fair for the user. iTunes prints it as "s". And this site also prints it as "s". Neel.arunabh (talk) 14:19, 8 May 2021 (UTC)
- Neel.arunabh, telugulyricsworld is not a reliable source. Anyway, I've opened an RM. Please comment there. -- Ab207 (talk) 14:22, 8 May 2021 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: Moved to Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam per compelling evidence presented by nom. Really, this could have been listed under "revert undiscussed moves" section of WP:RMTR. No such user (talk) 13:23, 8 June 2021 (UTC)
Konchem Istam Konchem Kastam → Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam – Undiscussed move. The official spelling is seen in the CBFC cerificate here (video available from India). Google search for "Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam" gives ~41,000 hits vs a meagre ~8,000 hits for "Konchem Istam Konchem Kastam". Article has been moved to the current title without discussion despite being reverted. Ab207 (talk) 14:21, 8 May 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose per WP:COMMONNAME. "Konchem Istam Konchem Kastam" is the spelling on the English-language posters. Neel.arunabh (talk) 14:28, 8 May 2021 (UTC)
- WP:COMMONNAME is the one which is widely used in reliable English-language sources, which is clearly Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam per G-hits. There is no English on the posters or DVD, so its unclear where you are getting that from. The official English spelling as registered at CBFC Board has "sh", ie Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam. -- Ab207 (talk) 14:59, 8 May 2021 (UTC)
- iTunes shows an English-language poster. Neel.arunabh (talk) 15:30, 8 May 2021 (UTC)
- Not an official one. Looks like a fan edit. -- Ab207 (talk) 16:28, 8 May 2021 (UTC)
- What is the meaning of a fan edit? Neel.arunabh (talk) 18:45, 8 May 2021 (UTC)
- @Neel.arunabh I would say a fan edit (in and out of Wikipedia) is from the followers of the person/film/... and is primarily intended to promote (not always advertising) the person/film/... -- DaxServer (talk) 19:51, 8 May 2021 (UTC)

- Since iTunes is mentioned as source, may I provide IMDB which spells "sh"? Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam/Archive 1 at IMDb
- I don't think either iTunes or IMDB are WP:RS, are they? -- DaxServer (talk) 18:56, 8 May 2021 (UTC)
- If iTunes poster is considered to be reliable and/or official, if at all, would it mean Tholi Prema (2018 film) be renamed to Toliprema? I searched for posters in English name, and I couldn't find any, except fan-made and custom-made posters. -- DaxServer (talk) 19:46, 8 May 2021 (UTC)

- iTunes shows an English-language poster. Neel.arunabh (talk) 15:30, 8 May 2021 (UTC)
- That's a good point, DaxServer. The film is registered as "Tholi Prema" at CBFC, so its possible that the English titles are added by their interns for the convenience of non-Telugu audience. -- Ab207 (talk) 19:54, 8 May 2021 (UTC)
- And Wikipedia is also an encyclopedia for an international audience. Neel.arunabh (talk) 00:48, 14 May 2021 (UTC)
- Indeed, that's why we use commonly used romanization in English-language reliable sources and not fan-made posters. -- Ab207 (talk) 04:54, 14 May 2021 (UTC)

- I am trying to find a poster with English title in Google Images. My search was unsuccessful. @Neel.arunabh Do you think you would be able provide a reliable source which has a poster with English name? You can also take a look at Wikipedia:ICTFFAQ for some sources which are reliable and not reliable. (The list is incomplete.)
- Do you think you can take a photo of the DVD box and post it in Commons, and link here so that we will know what is printed on it? -- DaxServer (talk) 19:06, 8 May 2021 (UTC)
- I do not have any DVDs for south Indian films. I see the DVD boxes for any film when I go the store. I am in the US right now. Neel.arunabh (talk) 19:24, 8 May 2021 (UTC)
- And IMDb is a database. Databases are not reliable sources. IMDb is generaaly unreliable according to Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Perennial sources. Neel.arunabh (talk) 19:26, 8 May 2021 (UTC)
- Yes, I know. I was just comparing. -- DaxServer (talk) 19:40, 8 May 2021 (UTC)
- @Neel.arunabh If you are not able to produce evidence for your claims about DVD box, then I suggest you to retract the DVD box part from your Oppose comment. -- DaxServer (talk) 19:41, 8 May 2021 (UTC)

- Its unlikely that an official English-language poster exists and it has a different spelling that the one used in the CBFC certificate. Regardless of that, Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam should be the title as per common usage, and the undiscussed/controversial move should be reverted. -- Ab207 (talk) 19:48, 8 May 2021 (UTC)
- @Ab207 The certificate could also be searched here: link. Unfortunately, the result is a table and not the certificate as shown in the movies. Would you say this is reliable as it is from the original CBFC database, and is not a user-generated database? -- DaxServer (talk) 20:02, 8 May 2021 (UTC)
- DaxServer, Yes. Though the website has a poor interface, the info provided in the table is exactly the same as mentioned in the certificate. -- Ab207 (talk) 20:17, 8 May 2021 (UTC)

- The problem is that Wikipedia does not have a guideline page for regional film titles. Hence, these controversies. Neel.arunabh (talk) 16:01, 12 May 2021 (UTC)
- I am also pinging Jaichandrakanthreddy here, because this user wrote in the talk page of "Tholi Prema" / "Toliprema" long time back. Neel.arunabh (talk) 20:35, 13 May 2021 (UTC)
- Looks like that user has not been active after January. Neel.arunabh (talk) 16:30, 15 May 2021 (UTC)
- Ab207 This is a real cliffhanger. Ab207 will not be able to relist this relistor cannot be the original nominator. And neither me nor DaxServer can relist this as both of us are participants. Neel.arunabh (talk) 02:15, 16 May 2021 (UTC)
- That's basically how an RM works. There's no need to re-iterate the procedure here. -- Ab207 (talk) 07:14, 16 May 2021 (UTC)
- @Neel.arunabh This request move either would be closed as moved or not moved. Apart these two outcomes, no matter when they would happen, if at all, nothing else would happen, unless there is a gross violation of WP policies. Don't sweat it out :) -- DaxServer (talk) 08:44, 16 May 2021 (UTC)
- I have found two reliable sources to print it as "Konchem Istam Konchem Kastam": Indian Express and The Hans India. Neel.arunabh (talk) 02:21, 16 May 2021 (UTC)
- And this one also from Indian Express, spells it with "sh". Neel.arunabh (talk) 02:23, 16 May 2021 (UTC)
