The below is not informative but only puts biased content to incite hate, request the below to be removed as it serves no purpose to the article. Some obscure incidents that happened in neighbourhoods of Chennai during the Raj which was even settled by the British is finding mention in the article here. Below is what is added by user Kautilya under HISTORY. After the arrival of European trading companies, the Komati merchants were among the local traders that partnered with them. The British referred to them as "Committys" and often used the term generically for all merchants on the Coromandel coast. Among the Committys that the British dealt with were the bulk sellers of cloth and other export commodities, money lenders and money changers, and the individual shop-keepers.The second Chief Merchant of the British East India Company in Madras was a Komati called Kasi Viranna, appointed in 1669.9.☃☃ There was fierce competition between the Tamil-speaking Beeri merchants, who formed the `left-hand' caste division and the Trivarnika Vaishnava Komati's and the Balija Naidu merchants who were referred to as the `right-hand' caste division in George Town during the British era for business contracts. The Balija Naidus were the first to riot and instigate riots against the Beri Chettiars and busines competition between the divisions gave rise to riots and disputes in 1652 and 1707. The British were able to settle the disputes between left hand and right hand caste divisions amicably by resettling members to designated areas in George Town which is a small neighborhood in the city of Chennai.[15][16] Regards, WiseWik --WiseWik (talk) 18:46, 18 February 2016 (UTC)

Why are you removing referenced material here? Few editors are editing and removing content in way to arbitrary manner. — Preceding unsigned comment added by WiseWik (talk • contribs) 16:45, 9 March 2016 (UTC)
I have gone through your edits in talk pages on different articles and see that there are complaints of spamming and arbitrary edits against you by Wikipedia users and users have complained against you. Point the reference you think is unreliable from the page like blogs, comments on social websites etc and it does make sense in removing them. There are users who deliberately fan hatred between communities as well as promote caste system and ensure the system of Caste Hierarchy. Would want to show you such edits, can you point out which source is unreliable here? If its not reliable then we can discuss, but forcing editors to remove referenced content is rude! Wikipedia is a free encyclopaedia and not few persons blog or social networking site. Its unfortunate a set of Individuals are twisting this great platform into a store house of biased trash. Lets discuss, please let me know which source you think is unreliable? --WiseWik (talk) 19:17, 9 March 2016 (UTC) Again pertaining to the current edit, where is Government of Andhra Pradesh mentioned here? |
Origin of the word Komati, the name of the caste is given more importance than origin of the caste itself.

Dear Wikipedia Users, Users Utcursh, Kautilya,Sitush, Bishonen force users to revert their researched edits or threaten to block editors. During my edits on this article, they vandalise pages, arbitrarily revert edits of users, threaten users, block editors promote caste biases, incite hatred between communities. Let Wiki editors wake up to the these select set of mischievous editors if Wikipedia should remain a source of research articles else such editors will be Wikipedia's Nemisis. Their consensus is to suppress factual references and to keep Caste conflicts in the article, they talk of edit warring but promote caste warring here! --WiseWik (talk) 20:35, 9 March 2016 (UTC) See WP:SOAPBOX. As Kautilya3 and Sitush have stated, you're trying to push your POV:

STOP ANTI JAIN BAIS

I have checked recent edits and the version which is mentioned in Wikipedia is extremely one sided and has Anti Jain Bias and a Pro Casteist agenda. Every attempt has been made to down play existence of Jainism and Jain practise like Ahimsa and Strict Vegetarianism and promote the Varna System (having watched the edits, user Kautilya has deliberately put references to riots which are small incidents mentioned in British books probably to only show the community is very VIOLENT in nature and decry importance to Ahimsa. Also the article only wants show Komatis to be fully accepted into the Varna Caste system below the Bramhins. There is also an Anti Jain propaganda in every reference in the article. Doesn't it smack of Anti Jain posturing and pro Casteist Varna with selective references and writing notes on every reference that downplays the Jain beliefs of the Komati communtiy and promote only one sided theory? Komatis were totally Jains and the community got split into various sub castes and merging in the Varna system I am not opposing it but trying to downplay the existence of Jain beliefs and customs shows such editors in poor light and does a dis-service to the users of Wikipedia as a good reference source. signing for the above section! --WishnuGupta (talk) 14:13, 13 March 2016 (UTC)
