Entries removed
[edit]I removed the following entries from the dab page for the given reasons.
- Kolussus, character in Sylvia Plath's The Colossus and Other Poems
- The actual Poem name is The Colossus (with a C) and Kolossus is a very unlikely misspelling of this.
- Kolossus, 2012 alternative history novel by Tim Jorgenson Adolf Hitler in popular culture
- Lack of notability. Neither the novel nor the author even has a WP page - just a brief mention at Adolf Hitler in popular culture. The novel, supposedly published in 2012, has zero reviews on Amazon.
- Ensemble Kolossus, musical ensemble with Michael Formanek
- In one album he used a non-notable ensemble named Kolossus which is referenced once but not even discussed on his page - not worthy of mention here.
- Kolossus, giant robot in film Mega Shark vs. Kolossus 2015
- violation of WP:PTM "Do not add a link that ... includes the page title in a longer proper name"
That leaves one entry on the page, and makes it a good XFD candidate. --В²C ☎ 00:29, 25 January 2018 (UTC)
- Reverted. Please always check in print sources before deleting content from articles and dab pages. In ictu oculi (talk) 00:35, 31 January 2018 (UTC)
- Really? You think because the poet "got some poem ideas from a Ouija ghost named Pan, who communicated that his family god Kolossus was a primary source of information", and that inspired her to name her poem The Colossus, that that deserves a link here on the dab page for Kolossus? --В²C ☎ 22:46, 31 January 2018 (UTC)
- "deserve" is the wrong philosophy. Is the ouija character a topic? Yes. Is it MOS:DABMENTIONed on Wikipedia? Yes. Is it the primary topic for "Kolossus"? No. So it's just listed on the dab page normally. Deserve's got nothing to do with it. -- JHunterJ (talk) 13:53, 1 February 2018 (UTC)
- I meant "deserve" as a synonym for "warrant", which it is. Semantics aside, by your reasoning, since it is MOS:DABMENTIONed on WP, it warrants being listed on this dab page. --В²C ☎ 17:47, 1 February 2018 (UTC)
