The material I added to the History section is translated from the German Wikipedia, and also incorporates some information already in the section that did not appear in the German Wikipedia. While working on the final sentence, carried over from the previous "History" section, I noticed that Wikipedia has two different pages for Faust, one that discusses the historical Faust and one that discusses the Faust of legend. I wonder whether these should be merged.
