Edit war
[edit]About a month ago I noticed that this article said that Engel supports "defunding the police". I looked into this, since that seemed fishy, and sure enough, the origin of this claim on Wikipedia is from a sockpuppet account called "Spyglass1" who cited an article from "Yellow Sheet Report", a site I had never heard of. Well, it seems to be not reliable at all as it is very biased. For example, the story before the source for the Engel-defund police claim is titled "Katie Hobbs Endorses Bill To Worsen Inflation, Raise Taxes And Hire 87,000 IRS Agents". That is not the title of an article on an unbiased and reliable source. I then looked into what Engel actually supports, and she said she supports mental health services being used in place of some police calls. Not exactly "defunding the police". So I reverted the section back to what it was before.
A few days ago, a user with the name of "165.91.95.132" reverted my edits and also added more biased information from a website of a radio station in Vermont as well as accusing people of having a conflict of interest. I edited the Kirsten Engel page twice, one time was a month ago without an account, and the second time was today when I decided to make an account. So I don't know what he is referring to.
The most absurd part of this is that if you look in the edit history of this page, user "165.91.95.132" thinks that an obscure and biased "news" site is a reliable source, but a FIRSTHAND PRIMARY SOURCE like video of a debate hosted by the very respected AZ Clean Elections where ENGEL HERSELF speaks is not a reliable source. How could someone possibly think that?
Anyway, I don't want to escalate this edit war, so I am posting this on the talk page in the hopes that it can be fairly resolved. Thank you. Azpolitic (talk) 20:35, 29 June 2023 (UTC)
