Update --- Gentlemen, The name or term Kingsbridge is now very, very rarely used in the area's west of Broadway anymore, and is gradually being phased-out and replaced with the name "South Riverdale" or just "Riverdale" instead, since they share the same 10463 zip code with the traditional Riverdale. However, the name or term Kingsbridge is very widely used east of the major Deegan Expressway to and around the Jerome Avenue or Grand Concourse area on Kingsbridge Road, and near Fordham Road as well, since the famed KINGSBRIDGE ARMORY is located there as well. Again, this is a marketing tool used to entice people that they want to disassociate themselves with Kingsbridge, for whatever reason they have.

You walk around W 231 Street & Corlear Avenue, and ask someone where Kingsbridge is, and they would tell you to take either the Bx1 or Bx9 and get off at Kingsbridge Road. THIW's.

The piper's kilt? How much did this shi_ty bar paid to be featured in this article? This pub get flooded whenever there is a mild rain. You can't even park.

I was the one who mentioned the Piper's Kilt. It was not intended as an advertisement. I mentioned it because there's a branch of it in my town (Eastchester, NY) so I figured that if there are also branches in Kingsbridge and Inwood that it must be a pretty notable place. wtf does this mean?

Currently, the article reads: "Kingsbridge is dominated by detached, semi detached, and attached homes. There is also a significant number of apartment buildings." I have no idea what this means. How can it be "dominated" by every type of building imaginable? Is there anything _other_ than detatched, semi-detatched, and attached? Maybe this means the area is lacking semi-attached homes, though I somehow doubt it. I'd fix this, but I have no idea of the reality of the neighborhood, nor what concept the original writer was trying to convey. Can someone who lives in the area modify this portion to accurately reflect the neighborhood? — Eric Herboso 01:32, 15 April 2010 (UTC)

Removed joke about "rich uncle" that was cited in paywalled NYT article. If there is evidence of class/race dynamic between some residents of Riverdale and Kingsbridge, it should be cited with supporting documentation. Additionally, this section could be improved with a better description of the terrain. The name "Kingsbridge" is being used more & more around the area of Jerome Avenue and the Grand Concourse & Kingsbridge Road, which is rightfully theirs according to Senator Jefferey Dinowitz.
