The article fails to include key details such as the origins of the Kingdom of Whydah and the approximate dates of existence. Furthermore, a new section about Whydah's involvement with the slave trade should be added, highlighting how the practice of selling slaves affected its relations with Europe as well as the surrounding African powers at the time. Also, the conquest of Whydah by the Dahomey needs to be expanded upon with information about what led to this takeover, the sociopolitical landscape during this period, and significant changes caused by this incorporation into a larger regional power of West Africa.
