Oppose The proposed title suggests that Pudukottai was a state in the Republic of India. Would support a move to Princely State of Pudukottai. Can I suggest that next time you want to move a whole group of articles, you use the linked moves format, as set out at WP:Requested moves. Skinsmoke (talk) 12:39, 22 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

What do you mean by "linked moves format"? The five proposals follow Hyderabad State, which was both, a princely state and a state of the Union. princely is kind of wrong for several of these articles, since they also contain info about the time before the British arrived and called them princely, see Wikipedia talk:WikiProject India#Princely states of India. The Imperial Gazetteer of India certainly did not write about a state of the Republic of India http://dsal.uchicago.edu/reference/gazetteer/ enter "pudukkottai state" see all two results as "Pudukkottai State". TopoChecker (talk) 18:59, 23 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
