[edit]where's the rest? There's nothing about the new characters, anime's episodes. This is very incomplete. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.82.129.222 (talk) 03:19, 9 October 2012 (UTC)
Source language for character names
[edit]I can see the Chinese character names are given as the default ones. Kingdom is originally written in Japanese, so I think it would be more logical to give use the Japanese names instead. Of course the corresponding Chinese names should be reported when they have historical relevance (e.g. Ying Zheng).
Is there a reason for the current choice ? Or is it just a matter of which version served for the unofficial english translation ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A01:E35:8B2E:25C0:C0E1:74D5:6B89:CEB4 (talk) 21:32, 22 March 2014 (UTC)
As far as I know the unofficial and official English translations use the Japanese forms, not the Chinese versions. All of the forms I have read are, they will often put the Chinese forms in small print. I have not seen dubbed versions, because dubbed versions of anime are notorious for how poorly the voice actors pronounce words and names and it is really annoying. It is in fact original research to be using the Chinese names over the ACTUAL names used in the manga that is the topic here, the historical people are not technically the topic. Also Wikipedia rules state that as default the on the English Wikipedia we should use the English forms, which for these purposes are what they have been translated into by the companies, which is the Japanese form of the names. There is also fairly little difference in terms of pronunciation, Xin and Shin are pronounced the same for instance, because in Wade-Giles X makes a sh sound. Anyways, it is a Japanese product, so despite the Chinese content it should not be Sinofied, for similar reasons as to why William the Conqueror is not Guilhelm le Bastard and Richard the Lionheart is not Richarde Couer de Lion on the English wikipedia. That people have put in the Chinese form is due to some misplaced sense of historical accuracy for a fictitious comic. 216.154.62.174 (talk) 20:36, 16 June 2019 (UTC)
English dub cast
[edit]If you guys haven't already heard, the English dub for Season 1 of this anime has been released. That being said, we still don't have the dub cast on this wiki, and I can't find it online or even look it up due to not having a Funimation account. Can someone who knows the cast via the DVD please put in the voice actors? Mumbai0618 (talk) 18:06, 8 February 2016 (UTC)Mumbai0618
