[edit]Any references that he was nicknamed "King Lear"? Shalom Hello 18:57, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
- According to this link his real name seems to be "Charles Bernard Lear". Frankly I would question whether we need a Wikipedia article on every person who has ever played baseball in the major leagues. However, WP:BIO does state specifically that athletes qualify for notability if they "have played in a fully professional league". By that criterion, you'd be notable enough for Wikipedia even if you just had one at-bat in the majors, decades ago, and were never heard from again. --Mathew5000 20:09, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
