Notable recipients

The list of notable recipients on this page rather dominates this article – comprising over two-thirds of it's length – even though the recipients are only of peripheral interest to the subject, which is the medal itself. I have therefore moved the list to a separate page.

Happy to discuss if anyone has any views – for example, should the information be included as the category "Recipients of the George V Silver Jubilee Medal"?

I'm not particularly bothered either way whether the lists of notable recipients are on this page or a separate page. Regarding the suggested category, such a category existed until 2012, but was deleted as being non-defining: see discussion here. The lists were added to this page following the category deletion. The list was fine was where it was, as the page wasn't WP:TOOLONG. The list itself doesn't have stand-alone notability, for the same reasons the category was deleted (given above). I'm hence reversing the undiscussed WP:SPLIT, but happy for discussion to continue to establish whether or not there's a consensus (WP:BRD). Klbrain (talk) 19:40, 26 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
