[edit]The redirect from King Edward VII School (Sheffield) to this Wesley College page seems to suggest that nothing should be written about King Edward VII School, or is the intent that material about King Teds should go on the Wesley College page. I think that King Ted's is more worthy of an article than some of the other schools in South Yorkshire that have articles. I would welcome views. Bduke 03:47, 17 January 2006 (UTC)
C. J. Becks is clearly not old enough to be an alumni of Wesley College. He may be an alumni of King Edward VII School (Sheffield), but there is no source given to verify this. It just reinforces the view I put above 6 weeks ago. The redirect from King Edward VII School (Sheffield) needs to be made into a proper article. I will write one soon. The Centenary book from the School is on its way to me and that should give me enough information to write an article. --Bduke 23:17, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
I fully support the changes just made that move all the Wesley College stuff to that page (previously a redirect), leaving this page only about King Teds. Good that someone was bold. --Bduke 23:26, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
Ideas for additional content
[edit]Maybe we could have some additional information about this great school. Maybe a translation of the school motto? Information about any foreign schools that K.E.S. is twinned with. A section about the famous people who once attended K.E.S. A section about our achievements in the sporting field. Lots more stuff could be added to fully represent the full scale of the benefits this school brings(both during and after attending). This school has benefited many pupils who have gone on to carry the schools principles & standards through into later life. Lets here about the schools excellent sporting & academic standards, as well as the passion and drive of the teachers which maintain the schools fine reputation. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.38.236.218 (talk) 03:17, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
A picture and more information about the lower school. Rat Cat12 (talk) 12:31, 8 July 2012 (UTC)

Scout Troops
[edit]For many years the school had 3 Scout Troops that operated on Monday after school ("A" Troop}, Friday after school ("B" Troop} and Saturday afternoon {"C" Troop}. There was an excellent Scout hut which I think may still exist. It did after the troops folded. There was also a Rover Scout Crew that had a room above some garages up the road past the girls school. These troops were very active with a week camp at Easter and a fortnight camp in the summer break. I was in "B" Troop until the upper 6th form when I was in the Rover Crew and I continued in the crew when home from university for many years. Scouting really needs to be mentioned in the article, but I am now 85 and I live in Melbourne, Australia. It needs someone on the spot who can possible get information from various sources including the archives of the old members association. Comment here or on my talk page if I can help more.
