Win Probability
[edit]I can't see how to edit the reference list, but the quoted win rate is wildly low. Morehead and Mott-Smith (The Complete Book of Solitaire and Patience Games, 1949) quoted a win rate of 1 in 2, but a recent study shows it's a bit over 2 out of 3. - Thanks! but that paper merely cites the results. The paper which does the actual calculation (Roscoe 2016) is https://web.archive.org/web/20220618044831/https://arxiv.org/pdf/1611.08418.pdf Adpete (talk) 02:42, 19 November 2024 (UTC) i.e. Section 3.1: "Despite the statements on the web to the effect that about 10% of games are soluble, the author found that 72 of the first 100 random deals were solved, mostly fairly quickly, by FDR", (i.e. FDR (software)).
