POV

[edit]

This article currently reads like a PR piece praising Dark, so I've tagged it appropriately in the hopes that it can be rewritten in order to become more encyclopedic. Steamroller Assault (talk) 01:46, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

POV

[edit]

Thanks for some of the clear up. I've attempted to read over the article and aside from some editing of various sections I'm having difficulty understanding how it reads like a PR piece. I did a bit of research on other contemporary writers and found very similar outlines in life, work, themes, etc. Suggestions, or how can we best remove the "neutrality dispute"? Cjdw (talk) 00:20, 1 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've removed some of the overly complementary passages, but much work still needs to be done. If you can find and cite some critical analysis of Dark's work (rather than just pieces written by people affiliate with Dark), I think we can fix the neutrality issue. Okay thanks, so who should I cite that isn't a University professor or a performance venue? Those are the only two sources I can think of that would have an analysis of her work (aside from newspaper/magazine articles which I included). Given that her work is partly academic and partly performative, where would you suggest I go instead? Cjdw (talk) 03:52, 2 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The newspaper/magazine articles are great, and count as reliable sources. I think a good next step would be to see if you could find those articles online and link to them so that other editors can verify claims made in the article. As for the NPOV question, give it time. Once other editors get to the article and work on it, I think that issue will get resolved. Steamroller Assault (talk) 17:29, 3 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
