Thanks for gathering these Frenchfries77! I hope you don’t mind my adding some formatting to make it easy for anyone who comes along to check out. Innisfree987 (talk) 18:23, 25 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yes for sure Innisfree987. I'm brand new to this so any comment you could add to show what you mean by formatting would be most appreciative. Do you mean just putting the sources into a proper reference list template so it can easily be added to the live page? I am working with a team to update Kim's page tonight and tomorrow. I will be trying to properly format these sources into the body in that process. we are adding some sections with these sources and some others. we welcome feedback. Frenchfries77 (talk) 06:18, 26 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Frenchfries77, and welcome! Very glad you’re here, looking forward to all you’ll add to the encyclopedia.
As for formatting, I was just referring to the bullet points and the way I made the word “Sources” into a sub-header instead of a full section header as you had it. Most of the time we try not to alter someone else’s talk-page comment without permission, but I was hoping you wouldn’t mind the assist in this case. If you click on “Edit source” at the top of the page, you can see what characters I added to make the changes, as well as the way I used colons to indent each addition to our conversation, which we call “threading”. I also used the {{u|ExampleName}} template to send you a ping—this is helpful if you think another editor might not see a message you intend for them.
Hope this helps you get acquainted with communicating with other editors—we are very glad to have you as part of the community! Innisfree987 (talk) 06:55, 26 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

GAN

[edit]

Hi Frenchfries77, Wrenhawke, really nice work on this entry—it’s much improved! So much so that I wondered if you would be interested in nominating it for good article status, a special designation that indicates an article has been reviewed by an independent editor and found it meets certain standards, which I think this likely does, maybe with just a little revising. I’m not sure what the plan for your course’s Wikipedia activities is next but if this interests you, let me know and I can help point in the right direction. There is a project in particular to help bring women’s biographies to good article status. Innisfree987 (talk) 02:54, 28 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Accuracy of family info

yikes, someone edited my wikipedia page & called my brother my "half-brother." he's not my half brother. he's my brother. period. they mis-stated another fact as well: my bro's dad never lived with us. he just came around sometimes. i don't like these "early life" edits.

Basie, thanks for pointing this out. I’m CC’ing Ian (Wiki Ed) and instructor Janniaragon as this was a student assignment. Innisfree987 (talk) 02:03, 28 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the ping, Innisfree987, and for cleaning this up. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 15:05, 28 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

No critical opinions on Tallbears

[edit]

Kim Tallbears Often goes unchallenged in her assessments About who gets to be indigenous And not. While that I do agree that only Indian Nationa get to decide who is A citizen. She is not expressed from what I can tell support for Black Freedmen in getting citizenship and has supported “pretindian” hunting efforts that disportinaly harm Black persons.
