The result of the move request was: I am going to close this as the originally proposed "Shooting" to get this RM out of the way. If there is later consensus to change "Shooting" to "Killing", this RM is not an obstacle to that. (non-admin closure) (t · c) buidhe01:07, 4 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Move to Killing of Kendall Carroll – Carroll was killed. The guns did not just go off accidentally. Whether the killing was justified, or not, is a matter for the courts. We do not need to decide that. A justified killing is still a killing. If it wasn't, the term justified killing would be an oxymoron. We just need to determine if he was killed or died from natural or accidental causes, or suicide. Calling this article "Shooting of ..." is a euphemism. The fact that he was shot is not the most notable aspect of this subject. What is important is that he is dead and that his death because of the action of another human who intended to kill him, perhaps with good cause. --- C&C (Coffeeandcrumbs) 18:31, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
There is a broader RM discussion you started here that would move the "Shooting of" articles to "Killing of" if there is such a consensus. I would favor renaming this article to either "Shooting of" or "Killing of" for now since there is a consensus that the current name does not describe the contents.
