Did Kieselhorst make its own pianos?
[edit]The National Register of Historic Places registration document for the listing of its longtime building calls Kielselhorst a "manufacturer". But it is unclear whether this is so. Many piano dealers sold "stencil" pianos, which were pianos built by other companies with the dealer's name on them. Some St. Louis-area piano restorers have asserted in online forums (e.g., https://www.mmdigest.com/Archives/Digests/200302/2003.02.26.07.html) that Kieselhorst pianos were actually "Apollo"-type pianos ordered from the Melville Clark Piano Co. (founded by one of the founders of the storied Story & Clark piano firm). PRRfan (talk) 14:07, 25 April 2022 (UTC)
